Plyometric Training
Plyometrics refers to exercise that enables a muscle to reach maximum force in the
shortest possible time. The muscle is loaded with an eccentric (lengthening) action,
followed immediately by a concentric (shortening) action.
The training will generally be of use to sports specific people wanting to excel
in their chosen sport and wanting explosive power for short periods of time. For example
footballers wanting to have the edge on other players on the pitch over short distances,
basketball players wanting the height over their piers on the court. These training
sessions will help improve and enhance the training needs in each individual case.
